The CSCS has established a DESK for Phone-In-Service where an investor can phone-in and obtain on the spot, his/her stock balances or stock position. This does not only instill confidence in the system, but also provides further transparency on the part of all players.
Stock confirmation via CSCS Automated Telephone Enquiry is a 24-hour free service for an immediate automated confirmation of your stock position balance. At present, access is allowed between 7.30 a.m. every Monday through 3.00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Requirements:
- Ensure you have access to telephone
- Ensure you have a touch-phone handset
- Know your account number(s) - this is different from your Clearing House Number that starts with letter ‘C’
Note:
- It is an interactive system. Follow the instructions given by the system
- Your personal identification number (called PIN number) represents your password, which restricts account information access to ONLY yourself. Unless otherwise changed, your account number is your automatic PIN number.
- Change your PIN number regularly or immediately you suspect espionage. It is very important you change your PIN number after the first attempt.
- All equities/securities have been coded so as to make enquiries through all telephone handsets possible (see list below). This is relevant ONLY to those investors that require information on a specific equity.
